Development of propagation techniques for Dipsacus Japonicus

Abstract: This research was conducted to identify the propagation techniques for Dipsacus japonicus Miq. (D. Japonicus) in Quan Ba - Ha Giang. The results showed that the proper seeding time on 15thNovember with 88.7% germination rate, and 86.3% survival rate. The treatment of seed soaked in warm water at 45°c (The ratio: 2 boiling water + 3 cold water) for 60 minutes showed earlier germination (average 5 days), high germination rate (89.3%) and high survival rate (87.1%). The method using plastic plant bag showed the high germination rate and high survival rate for the best growth of plants with the plant height when transplanting (after 60 days of sowing) reached 13.4 cm, the number of leaves was 5.2.
