Evaluation of financial efficiency of cultivation models in agricultural re-structure in Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province

Abstract: Evaluation of the financial effectiveness of cultivation models in fresh, brackish and saline ecological zones inside and outside the dyke of Thanh Phu district, Ben Tre province aim to identify factors which affect the effective farming models in agricultural restructure. By surveying 150 households in three ecological areas of Thanh Phu district and applying the correlative regression analysis method showed that farm size, seed cost, material cost affected total sale of the model. For inside the dyke, the highest profit was recorded in the model of freshwater shrimp - rice; the model of fresh water shrimp - coconut gained high profit and the double rice crops gave the lowest profit. For outside the dyke, the extensive shrimp-crab model had the highest profit.
